GRENOBLE, France – June 30, 2026 – Diabeloop, a pioneer in therapeutic AI, today announced the launch of a new, highly anticipated tool: the DBLG2 Demo App. Designed to make the future of diabetes management accessible to everyone, the DBLG2 Demo app is an interactive simulation and a preview of the virtual DBLG2 System.
Initially launching exclusively on the Google Play Store in Germany and the Netherlands, this new simulation tool allows anyone to explore the ecosystem on their own smartphone. The first version available is DBLG2 with a virtual Kaleido insulin pump. Other virtual pumps will be available soon. To use it, you simply need an Android smartphone running on Android 13 or higher.
A Complete, Risk-Free Simulation Experience
The new DBLG2 Demo app simulates interaction with the system and provides an overview of the many features and benefits of DBLG2 System. Users can seamlessly navigate through the app’s four screens (Home, Events, System, Profile) and see the various features available.
Through a highly intuitive onboarding process, users can experience the daily management of DBLG2 system through several simulated features:
- Virtual Device Pairing: From the System screen, users can follow the steps to pair a Demo CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring). The CGM pairing allows simulated glucose data to be displayed. Steps are also available to pair a virtual insulin pump. It will allow the user to access the simulated pump features.
- Interactive Loop Mode Toggle: Users can explore the Home screen and activate the loop mode button to see how the system displays its active status.
- Comprehensive Event Management: Enabling loop mode allows users to simulate features such as meal declarations. A dedicated button lets users add events such as a Pen bolus, Pump bolus, Rescue carbs, Physical activity, and Meals.
- Custom Demo Menu: A specific demo menu (which does not exist in the actual DBLG2 app) allows users to choose their virtual glucose profile and trigger simulated alarms, alerts, or information messages and reset the app to restart initialization.
Important Safety Information
While the DBLG2 Demo app provides a realistic user experience, Diabeloop emphasizes that the DBLG2 Demo app is not a medical device.
- This application is for demonstration and training purposes only.
- It must not be used to make therapeutic decisions.
- Users cannot pair a real device to the app.
The actual Diabeloop algorithm is not integrated – only a few functions are simulated to demonstrate some of its features.
Beyond the DBLG2 Demo app, what about DBLG2 availability?
- DBLG2 System availability varies by country and insulin pump partners.
- DBLG2 is available with Kaleido (ViCentra) and soon, with DANA-i (SOOIL).
